Also on the program will be Green Family Foundation president Kimberly Green, Youth Expressions Executive Director Mike Rosenfeld and CBS4's Jim Defede, all of whom will address the good work Youth Expressions has accomplished in and for the community.

Youth Expressions, the Little Haiti-based youth group that uses hip hop and spoken word to address social concerns, returns to Miami after performing in New York as part of this year's Keep a Child Alive Summit, founded by Grammy Award winning recording artist Alicia Keys and activist Leigh Blake.
The Keep a Child Alive Student AIDS Summit was held after its star studded kick off, The Black Ball, with live performances by Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Adele and Emmanuel Jal. This year's Black Ball honorees included Queen Latifah, Simon Fuller and Jackie Branfield, Executive Director of Operation Bobbi Bear. Keep a Child Alive is a New York-based non-profit founded to address the AIDS pandemic ravaging Africa. Their work makes it possible for children and families to obtain life saving AIDS drugs and support for survival. (100% of their donations go to their cause.)

Youth Expressions was invited to perform after being recommended by Green Family Foundation president Kimberly Green, presenting sponsor of the Keep a Child Alive Student AIDS Summit, and featured speaker. Youth Expressions addresses social concerns in their Little Haiti neighborhood and, by extension, those in Haiti itself, where the Green Family Foundation is also active in fighting AIDS as well as poverty. The Green Family Foundation is a private non profit organization dedicated to supporting social programs that positively impact global health and alleviate poverty.

Youth Expressions will perform on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 4:00pm at The White Room in Downtown Miami. They will perform the very same original piece they performed in New York, as well as other selections from the group's repertoire.
