Proceeds Will Benefit the Children First Fund to Support the Development and Growth of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami

MIAMI, March 27, 2008 – On March 27th The Green Family Foundation (GFF) (www.greenff.org) will host a collaborative fundraising event with Harry Winston to benefit the Children First Fund at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. The Children First Fund is an initiative to raise vital philanthropic support, focusing on the University of Miami’s Department of Pediatrics growth and advancement in children’s healthcare. The reception, which will be held at Ambassador Steven and Mrs. Dorothea Green’s home in Miami, will include an in-home shopping and viewing of jewels from Harry Winston.

“We are excited to join forces with the prestigious Harry Winston to support the growth of the Children First Fund,” said Ambassador Green.  “It is our hope that the establishment of the Children First Fund will lead to greater advances in children’s healthcare and development at the University of Miami.”

The attendance at the event will include South Florida’s philanthropic community, and Harry Winston clientele.  Harry Winston will donate five percent of sales made the night of the event, in addition to sales made within one month to attending guests, to the Children First Fund.

The Children First Fund was established to provide support to the University of Miami Department of Pediatrics to continue to provide state-of-the art medical care, direct services, development of new programs and innovative research.
