Application Guidelines
The Green Family Foundation will consider grants for IRS-qualified non-profit organizations located within the United States. The Foundation will consider requests related to our four funding priorities to support museums, cultural and performing arts programs; schools and hospitals; educational, skills training and other programs for young adults. The Foundation does not make grants to individuals.
Timelines and Deadlines
The Green Family Foundation accepts Letters of Intent between October 1 and April 1 by 5 p.m. EST of the following year. In those instances when the deadline date falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the deadline shall move to the next business day.
All Letters of Intent must be submitted via this website. We do not accept letters of intent through mail, email, or in-person.
Because the Foundation accepts letters of intent over a six-month period, the Foundation will not provide an extension to submitting a letter of intent.
Should your organization be selected among our pool of prospective grantees, we will contact you in April to advise on the next steps to submitting a full proposal. The full proposal is due on May 15th by 5 p.m. EST. We ask that organizations do not contact the Foundation to request status updates unless they have not received an update within the timeframe cited above.
Applicants are notified of funding decisions in July. Grant awards are disbursed in August.
To Be Considered For Funding, Your Organization Must:
Submit a Letter of Intent no later than April 1 by 5 p.m. EST. Please be advised that the Green Family Foundation has limited funding resources for unsolicited proposals outside of our multi-year investments with established charitable partners. We would encourage all applicants to review our four (4) funding priorities. We invite qualified nonprofit organizations that are aligned with the principles of our grantmaking priorities to submit their Letter of Intent, which must be submitted through the link below.
Should your organization be selected among our pool of prospective grantees, we will contact you to advise on the next steps to submitting a full proposal.
Grant Reporting
We are committed to fostering transparency, accountability, and shared learning through our grantmaking process. As part of your grant agreement, your organization will be required to submit reporting information to help us track the progress and impact of your work. Details regarding the grant reporting will be outlined in your grant agreement.
