Kimberly Green, an accomplished philanthropist, writer, and documentary filmmaker, has led the Green Family Foundation (GFF) since 1997, transforming it into a catalyst for sustainable change. Under her leadership, GFF has impacted thousands of lives locally and globally by funding innovative programs in health, education, culture, and community development.

In Haiti, Kimberly has spearheaded initiatives in healthcare, cultural preservation, and economic development, including the creation of the Haiti Policy Program and the acclaimed Alan Lomax in Haiti archival project, which earned two Grammy nominations. She also executive-produced the award-winning documentary Once There Was a Country: Revisiting Haiti, narrated by Dr. Maya Angelou, and led the Sinema Anba Zetwal tour, which reached over 250,000 Haitians after the 2010 earthquake.

In Miami, Kimberly’s vision has supported programs like Youth Expressions, a haven for historically excluded youth, and the Photographic History of Black Miami exhibit. She has also been instrumental in creating the Steven and Dorothea Green Library and the Digital Library of the Caribbean at Florida International University, along with launching the NeighborhoodHELP initiative to provide healthcare access to socially, culturally, and economically diverse families.

A passionate advocate, Kimberly has served on the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities and the boards of the Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center and the American Red Cross of Greater Miami. She has also established groundbreaking programs like Miami-Dade’s first interactive computer learning center and the Pediatric AIDS program at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine.

Kimberly’s dedication has earned her numerous accolades, including the Red Cross Spectrum Ambassador Award, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year. Through her leadership and vision, Kimberly continues to drive transformative impact for diverse communities worldwide.
